The course is open to clinical staff working in primary care within South East London Integrated Care System. This includes GPs, Registered Allied Health Professionals, Registered Nurses, Physician’s Associates and GP Trainees.

  • How do some rarer cancers present in primary care, and how can we reduce our risk of missing them?
  • How to investigate “low risk but not no risk” vague symptoms such as weight loss, fatigue and abdominal pain
  • How do external factors and health inequalities negatively impact on earlier diagnoses?
  • What can we learn from local data on incidence and mode of diagnosis of rarer cancers?
  • What local pathways and initiatives exist that might support us with earlier diagnosis?
  • Recent updates in NICE guidance on cancer referral.
